Hello! And welcome to my blog!

My name is McKella Sylvester and currently I am a senior in high school. My credentials include being editor in chief of my high school newspaper, The Fanscotian. I also have experience writing for other blogs and news organizations as well.

I created this blog for the sole purpose of sharing all of the stories I’ve been working on and the effort that goes into them.  Of course, I cannot take all of the credit. This blog started off as an assignment for this journalism workshop I attended at Rutgers University.

The workshop is called the 2016 Hugh N. Boyd Journalism Workshop. It was originally founded in 1979 to encourage youth to consider journalism careers and to emphasize the newspaper industry’s efforts to encourage diversity in staffing and content.

Obviously, it is a big deal.

Anyway, thank you for reading this brief bio about me and what I do and I hope you will come back for more articles! You can find me on my social media:
